I just returned from the Romance Novel Convention (RNC) in Las Vegas. Should I really complain about having too much fun? I met an old friend (author Vijaya Schartz) in Northern AZ, and then we drove the remaining four hours together.
From beginning to end, RNC was a blast and I loved every minute. Between my 6 am Starbucks coffee and the after dinner celebration each night, I filled my days with networking and great seminars. I have a stack of business cards more than an inch high to go through. Oh, and did I mention dancing? My calves and thighs got quite the workout and I can proudly say I feel like the line-dance queen.
Saturday afternoon was the book signing and I sold paperbacks of Fang Chronicles: Amy’s Story and sent eBook readers to the free download on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I absolutely must get the next three books out in paperback. It’s on my very long to-do list. I was quite proud of myself and didn’t flub my pen name once.
I’m planning my conference schedule for next year and so far will be attending the RT convention in New Orleans, May 14th thru the 18th, 2014 and then ARC in Phoenix, Oct. 23rd thru 26th, 2014. Depending on RNC’s 2014 location, I want to attend again. So if you are near any of these events, I would love to meet you.
Fang Book News:
I’m working on a few ideas for the next Fang cover. Tentative title “Fang Chronicles: Dmitri” No yelling or screaming because I’m not giving away the she-cat’s name who is driving him crazy until you read the book. I’m just mean that way and I will admit it’s stirred up all kinds of emails and messages. Nope, I can’t be bribed and no I’m not giving any hints.
Mandy’s Story has far exceeded my expectations and I thank everyone for spreading the word. Adding it to your Goodreads groups, Facebook favorites, writing reviews, and just plain word of mouth is awesome. Mandy stayed on the Amazon top 100 were/shifters list for three weeks. You guys rock!
These are my sisters in signing at the Saturday event. And no, the shoes aren’t mine but I’m stealing this idea. I was the author sitting next to, “The lady with the shoes.”
Friend me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/delen.mcclain.writer if you want to be kept up to date more often inside my Fang world.
PS. And I’m the blonde…
